  • Curbside recycling launched for the entire City under the City's new solid waste contract thanks to advocacy work of Missouri City Green
  • Earned 2nd Place in Governors Community Achievement Awards (pop. 65,001-90,000)
  • Awarded Gold Status status by Keep Texas Beautiful 
  • Edible Earth Fest launched - won 1st Place in 2016 Texas Arbor Day awards
  • Awarded Excellence in Leadership award by the George Foundation and FB Chamber of Commerce for service project using Youth In Philanthropy corp.
  • Over 2000 hours of volunteer time, talent and service invested into helping keep Missouri City clean, green and environmentally friendly
  • 2 community wide electronics electronics recycling events 
  • 2 'Don't mess with Texas' Trash-off events. Missouri City selected by TxDot for one of 25 special trash-off events celebrating 30 years of the DMWT's anti litter campaign
  • 3 Adopt-A-Highway clean up events 
  • 1 community-wide paper shredding event
  • 5 educational workshops hosted by MCG
  • 1 community storm drain marker event
  • MCG leaders presented workshop at the Keep Texas Beautiful 49th Annual Conference 
  • Partnered with City of Missouri City to promote curbside recycling best practices at Eggpalooza, Tricks and Treats in the Park and Snowfest
  • Mycle Recycle, MCG's new mascot introduced, made possible by a generous grant from Dow Chemical.
