Electronics Recycling Event -January 25
Thanks to the collaborative efforts of Missouri City Green's volunteers, the City of Missouri City, Missouri City Parks & Recreation Deptment and CompuCycle (R2 Certified Recycler) our 7th Annual Electronics Recycling Event on Saturday January 25 was a HUGE success. Over 350 people drove through the line to recycle their unwanted, outdated and broken electronics. Donated items will be refurbished, where possible, or broken down so that their valuable component parts can be put back into the manufacturing process. Special thanks to those who generously donated toward future community clean up events. |

Golden Tree Award Winner Lupe Tortilla - October 12
Lupe Tortilla near Sienna has earned our Golden Tree award for this quarter. Although their landscape is not a "xeroscape," much of it requires less water and maintenance than other businesses and restaurants. The restaurant has also incorporated a paperless menu and energy efficient lighting and features. |
