Electronics Recycling Event Saturday January 25
Thanks to the collaborative efforts of Missouri City Green's volunteers, the City of Missouri City, Missouri City Parks & Recreation Deptment and CompuCycle (R2 Certified Recycler) our 7th Annual Electronics Recycling Event on Saturday January 25 was a HUGE success. Over 350 people drove through the line to recycle their unwanted, outdated and broken electronics. Donated items will be refurbished, where possible, or broken down so that their valuable component parts can be put back into the manufacturing process. Special thanks to those who generously donated toward future community clean up events. |

Trash Clean Up by WIDE School along Edible Arbor Trail- February 28
Students from the TED Club at the WIDE school in Missouri City turned out in force on February 28 to clean up a section of the Edible Arbor Trail in partnership with Missouri City Green. The enthusiasm and passion of these young people was such a pleasure to observe. Thank you to Maryam and her teaching staff who led the children and also Councilman Anthony Maroulis, and Gabe, the manager of Walmart, who were also there to support these amazing young people! |
