Missouri City Green, in partnership with Missouri City Parks and Recreation Department, invites you to help make our City look clean and beautiful by participating in our Annual Citywide Trash-Off event.
Participants must sign up on-line. Sign up as an individual, family, group or organization. This is a great opportunity for scouts and student organizations to earn community service hours!
Your sign up indicates that you and everyone in your group has read and agreed to the Waiver.
Everyone will meet at the Missouri City Community Center to pick up materials (trash bags, grabbers and gloves) and assigned a cleanup location where you will pick up trash for up to two hours. Take photos during your cleanup and post to Facebook or Twitter as much as possible. Tag #KeepMissouriCityGreen for a chance to win a prize! Upon check in, you'll be advised as to where to leave the trash and materials when you're done. Return to the Community Center where we will have a pizza party and awards. Remember to bring your own water bottle to avoid extra waste with plastic water bottles! |
Special Instructions: When picking up litter, Keep Texas Beautiful recommends you do so responsibly and at your comfort level. Please wear disposable gloves, and use a litter grabber (when available).
When you are finished collecting litter, please make sure your trash bags are securely tied to protect sanitation workers. Immediately wash your hands with soap and water or use hand sanitizer after collecting litter. Please dispose of any single-use face masks and disposable gloves properly and in the waste bin. Please follow all local, state and federal guidelines surrounding COVID-19.
