Community Recognition
Golden Tree Award
Missouri City Green teams up with Missouri City Forester/Horticulturist Paul Wierzbicki to recognize local businesses, both private and corporately owned, who make a difference in keeping Missouri City beautiful, clean and environmentally friendly.
Golden Tree Awards are presented to Missouri City businesses that demonstrate civic engagement and environmental leadership in one or more of the following categories:
Winners are announced quarterly, and will receive a plaque, recognition by Missouri City-City Council and on the City of Missouri City website and Missouri City Green website. There is no application fee. Businesses may be nominated only once every year.

Missouri City's 2019 Municipal Volunteer of the Year
Established in 2014, The Municipal Volunteer Program (MVP), the mission of the program is to facilitate citizen partnerships between City departments and talented volunteers within the community through the assistance of a wide variety of volunteer activities and projects. At the January 21st, 2020 City Council Meeting, Margo Webb's volunteer efforts to keep Missouri City clean, green and beautiful were recognized as she was named 2019 Municipal Volunteer of the year. Margo was also a finalist in 2018, having received the Ebony Ghee Parks Board award as that department's MVP of the year nominee. For more information on MVP program and to get involved, click here. |
